Reading Your Results
A step-by-step walkthrough of every section in your Icosa assessment results.
After you complete your assessment, you’ll receive a detailed results page. This guide walks through each section so you can read it confidently.
The Harmony Grid
At the top of your results, you’ll see a 4×5 grid: four capacities (Open, Focus, Bond, Move) by five domains (Physical, Emotional, Mental, Relational, Spiritual). Each cell represents one of your twenty harmonies, each with its own name, like Sensitivity, Belonging, or Agency, and is colored by score:
- Deep red tones indicate scores in the Crisis or Overwhelmed range
- Amber tones indicate Struggling
- Blue-green tones indicate Steady
- Green tones indicate Thriving
The grid gives you a fast visual read of your profile. Clusters of similar colors suggest alignment; sharp color transitions may indicate internal tension.
Your Formation
Below the grid, your formation is displayed: a name describing the overall shape of your profile. Seventy-seven formations are organized by coherence band and named for geometric character, words like Balanced, Poised, Withdrawn, or Frozen.
Your formation isn’t a fixed type. It’s a snapshot of your current pattern, and it can change over time.
Coherence Score
Your coherence score (0–100) measures how well your twenty dimensions work together as a system. It’s displayed with your coherence band (Thriving, Steady, Struggling, Overwhelmed, or Crisis).
This is your key summary number. It captures integration across your whole profile.
Gateways
Gateways are nine fixed positions in the grid with high cascade potential: Body, Grace, Choice, Voice, Belonging, Feeling, Discernment, Identity, and Vitality. Your results show which are open, partial, or closed.
Think of gateways as leverage points. When a gateway is closed, opening it can produce ripple effects across related dimensions.
Detected Patterns
If your profile matches any recognized patterns, they’ll be listed here. Patterns might include:
- Behavioral patterns detected from how you took the assessment (if you chose Standard or Comprehensive depth)
- Contextual patterns based on your demographics and life situation
- Clinical patterns that may be relevant for professional support
Each pattern includes a brief explanation of what it means and why it was detected.
Centering Plan
Your centering plan provides concrete, personalized suggestions based on your gateways and detected patterns. These are computed from your specific profile and prioritized by expected impact.
The plan suggests small, actionable steps. The goal is sustainable movement, not dramatic overhaul.
